What We Do During Our Meetings:

Our monthly meetings are the perfect mixture of fun and learning. Here's what happens during each one.

Piles of Books

Reading Comprehension

We try to read a wide variety of books at two different levels: an advanced level and a normal level. We provide financial aid students with a new book and every student with a reading schedule for each month so that they can stay on track and finish their book before the next month's session. During the following session, we will discuss the book and ask the students thought-provoking questions to develop their reading comprehension skills.

      Writing Skills

We aim to foster invaluable writing habits and help the students develop their grammar, improve their spelling and vocabulary, and help them learn how to read and write cursive by providing them with quality worksheets. We also provide the students with a monthly schedule for their worksheets to keep them on track and make sure they are practicing a variety of skills each week.

Fun Activities

This is arguably the most important part of the whole program: having fun! We provide the kids with materials for activities like fun crafts related to the books we read. Each meeting, we give the students directions on how to make the crafts and, at the end of the meeting, they will be able to share their creations with their peers!
